White Releases More Details on Epic UFC White House Event

12 August 2025

As part of the celebrations for America's 250th birthday, UFC President and CEO Dana White has revealed some additional information about the live event that will take place on the White House grounds next year.

Million-dollar Paramount Agreement

President Donald Trump of the United States is involved in the event's preparations.

White confirmed the event—July 4, 2026—at the White House during today's CBS morning broadcast.

“It is definitely going to happen,” he said. “I talked to him last night, him being the president. I’m flying out there at the end of this month, and I’m going to sit down and walk him through all the plans and the renderings. We’re going to start deciding what he wants and doesn’t want. Think about this. When you were just asking me, at the beginning, how I felt about where we are today, July 4, 250th birthday of the United States of America. Live on CBS from the White House.”

Ivanka Participated

White is also spoken to Ivanka Trump, Trump's daughter, to assist with the event's planning.

According to White, it is too soon to announce the fighters who will compete.

The UFC has had a busy 24 hours.  A seven-year, USD $7.7 billion media rights deal was unveiled yesterday by Paramount and TKO Group Holdings, a sports and entertainment conglomerate that includes the UFC, WWE, and PBR, the bull riding organization.

$7.7 billion agreement

All UFC numbered events and Fight Nights will be streamed live on Paramount+ beginning in 2026, with a few high-profile bouts broadcast on CBS.

The UFC and Paramount are abandoning the current Pay-Per-View model in favor of offering premium events to Paramount+ subscribers in the United States at no extra cost.

Conor McGregor and the now-retired Jon Jones are among the well-known UFC competitors who have stated their desire to compete in the White House bout.

Jones Is Interested in

Jones claimed that after learning about the Trump fight, he decided to come out of retirement and resume training.  A battle between Jones and heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall would be a highly anticipated betting event, but White disapproved of the idea since Jones has a history of legal troubles and is known for being unreliable when trying to build a card.  According to White, the UFC cannot play around with "will he or won't he" situations at the Trump event.

It's difficult to gauge betting interest in an event like this because nothing like this has ever been done, BetVictor trader Mark Collier told Casino.org.

“Hard to gauge really,” he said. “Not sure we’ve had such an unorthodox sort of venue before or even something remotely comparable. Personally, with the variables involved such as Donald Trump, outside set up and most crucially, bouts likely to be PPV level then surely we would expect above average business.”
